DBD buys Airspan VoIP technology
US vendor Airspan Networks has announced that German WiMAX operator Deutsche Breitband Dienste (DBD) has purchased Airspan’s VoiceMAX ‘voice processing technology’ for carrying voice-over-internet protocol (VoIP) on its network. DBD provides residential customers and SMEs with high speed wireless internet access and voice services, via wireless networks in both metropolitan areas (under the MAXXonair brand) and rural areas (under the DSLonair brand) across Germany. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed
